Why We Have Lost So Many Fathers To Death -Joshua Iginla Reveals What Wives Should Always Do

In a recent video on YouTube, Nigerian televangelist Joshua Iginla has called on women to take a more active role in supporting their husbands’ health and wellbeing, warning that many men are suffering in silence due to neglect and societal expectations.

Speaking during a sermon at Champions Royal Assembly, the cleric said the cultural mindset that men must always appear strong has contributed to the loss of many fathers and husbands.

“This issue of ‘I’m the father’ has made us lose fathers,” Iginla said, stressing that the pressure on men to suppress vulnerability often prevents them from seeking help or care.

Addressing married women directly, the preacher encouraged them to extend the same level of care they give to themselves toward their husbands, particularly when it comes to health and personal wellbeing.

“I want to say this to every wife: as you are so careful to care for yourself, if you love your husband, introduce that care to him,” he said.

According to Iginla, failing to do so could create serious consequences for families in the long run. He warned that focusing only on personal wellbeing while ignoring a partner’s health could lead to unexpected crises.

“If that care is not extended, you are preserving yourself waiting for a time bomb,” he said.

The cleric emphasized that the role of a wife as a helper goes beyond domestic responsibilities such as cooking or serving meals.

“You cannot only be a helper in serving food,” Iginla stated. “Be your husband’s nurse. Check him. Look at him.”

He also noted that wives are often the first people capable of noticing early signs of health problems or physical weakness in their spouses.
