War: Population In Israel, Jews: 7.7 Million, Muslims: 1.8 Million, Christians: 184,200—Shehu Sani

‎In a recent statement via his official X account, former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has spoken about the ongoing conflict involving Israel and Iran.

‎”The Population in Israel Jews: 7.7million, Muslims: 1.8million, Christians: 184,200. Source; Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics 2025/2026,” he wrote.

‎Reacting to the war, he shared figures about Israel’s population, stating that the country has about 7.7 million Jews, 1.8 million Muslims, and over 184,000 Christians, based on data from Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics for 2025/2026.

‎Sani used the statistics to make a general point about the conflict and the way some Christians are responding to it and suggested that support for Israel should not be framed as a simple religious obligation.

‎His message suggested that backing one side solely because of religion may ignore the realities on the ground, he indicated that the presence of Muslims and Christians in Israel shows that the conflict cannot be reduced to a single religious identity.

‎Sani believes that foreign conflicts should not divide Nigerians along faith lines and explained that support for any country at war should not be based only on religion, he said faith should not blind people to the human cost of war.

‎According to him, conflicts between nations often lead to suffering for innocent civilians, including women and children and stressed that war is not a religious competition but a tragic situation that affects ordinary families.
