U.S. Senator Tom Cotton has publicly aligned himself with President Donald Trump on Iran, declaring that the United States “cannot tolerate a nuclear Iran.”
In a statement posted on his verified Twitter account, Cotton said Tehran must “immediately agree to give up all pathways to a nuclear weapon,” reinforcing a hardline stance that leaves little room for partial concessions or phased arrangements.
His remarks echo Trump’s repeated warnings that Washington will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons capability.
The comments come amid heightened tensions over Iran’s nuclear activities and stalled diplomatic efforts aimed at reviving or restructuring previous agreements.
U.S. officials have indicated that while diplomacy remains the preferred solution, all options—including military measures—remain under consideration if Iran refuses to comply with strict limitations.
