A Lagos-based content creator and thrift business owner known as Fems Thrift has accused an unidentified man of sexually assaulting her and a friend after allegedly deceiving them with a fake modelling opportunity in the Ajao Estate area of the state.
According to The Punch, in a video shared on her TikTok page and viewed by PUNCH Metro correspondent on Wednesday, she recounted that the incident took place on Friday, February 8. She explained that initial contact was made on February 1 via Instagram by a man who claimed he had recently relocated from the United Kingdom to establish an international fashion brand in Nigeria.
According to her, the man offered her N140,000 for a modelling engagement and asked that she also use her online platform to promote the supposed brand. She agreed to participate after being assured that a make-up artist and other crew members would be present at the shoot.
“My friend was already with me, so she accompanied me for safety,” she said.
She stated that they arrived at the apartment around 11am on February 8 but found the premises mostly unfurnished. The man allegedly described the location as a content studio and claimed the make-up artist had briefly stepped out. He reportedly asked her to shower, saying her skin appeared oily, and provided a robe for her to change into before filming.
After bathing and changing, she said the man entered the room with a key, explaining that he wanted to demonstrate how to secure the door ahead of the videographer’s arrival.
“He locked the door, stood in a corner, and I became scared,” she said.
She alleged that the situation escalated when “he brought out a knife, forced both us to undress, restrained their hands with socks, and threatened to harm us if we resisted.”
“He sexually assaulted us multiple times without protection,” she alleged.
She further claimed that before allowing them to leave, the suspect confiscated their phones, compelled them to unlock private folders, and transferred intimate images and videos to himself using AirDrop. He allegedly warned that he would release the materials online if they reported the matter or spoke about it publicly.
“He threatened me with my internet presence, saying if I spoke up, he would release my private videos now and in the future,” she added.
The women reportedly departed the apartment between 2pm and 3pm that day.
The account has since sparked widespread reaction on social media, with many users demanding swift action from law enforcement authorities. Some individuals also shared photographs online, claiming they depict the alleged suspect, while urging the police to launch a thorough investigation.
