Veteran journalist and ADC Chieftain, Dele Momodu, has reacted to comments made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, regarding his interest in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.
Momodu shared his reaction in a post published on his verified Instagram page on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, following the circulation of a video in which Wike was saying he was “particularly interested in Oyo State PDP.” The video shared carried the caption: “Oyo PDP Under Watch: ‘I’m Particularly Interested in Oyo State PDP’ – Nyesom Wike.”
In his response, Momodu delivered a strongly worded commentary questioning what he described as growing political overreach and influence within Nigeria’s political space. “The omnipotent and omniscient god of Nigerian politics is ubiquitously interested in Oyo State,” Momodu wrote.
He further alleged that the development enjoyed presidential backing. “Of course, with the full backing of President Bola Tinubu, who has clearly thrown all decorum into the Atlantic Ocean, on the altar of voluptuous ambition,” he stated.
Momodu’s post suggested discomfort with what he portrayed as the consolidation of political authority across party lines. “Suddenly, an amphibious politician has been declared the ‘undisputed leader’ of two political parties, simultaneously, by a President, who’s a member of only one party!” he wrote.
The media entrepreneur framed the situation as a cautionary tale about power and influence in governance. “Men of power, like all tragic heroes, always forget the GOD factor,” Momodu said.
He concluded his remarks with a reflective note on the inevitability of change. “TOMORROW will surely come, without the heavens falling down,” he added…View_More.
