Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church (IESC) Worldwide, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has revealed that Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, once threatened to sue him if he continued making prophetic statements about his political career.
Speaking in a recent Facebook video, the cleric said Adelabu’s warning came after he prophesied about the politician’s struggles in Oyo State politics. According to Ayodele, Adelabu’s attitude reflects arrogance and disregard for divine instruction, which, he said, would ultimately hinder his political progress.
“Adelabu, you told me if I talk, you will sue me,” Ayodele stated firmly. “But I will still talk because it is what God asked me to say. You won’t be governor of Oyo. Whoever advised you to use the word ‘Emi Lokan’ has misled you. That statement will only bring you failure if you don’t change it.”
The cleric maintained that political success is not achieved through power or slogans but by divine grace and humility. He said the phrase ‘Emi Lokan’—meaning “It’s my turn”—has become a spiritual trap for those who use it out of pride, warning that it could cost Adelabu his chances within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ayodele also reiterated that his prophecies were not born out of personal grievances but divine revelation meant to guide politicians toward repentance and wisdom. “I don’t speak for fame or attention. I speak because heaven has spoken,” he said. He stood by his statement, insisting that Adelabu’s warning could not silence a prophecy from God. See, More, Here>>>>
