Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Adviser on Public Communication and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has reacted after the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, denied withdrawing police officers from Nyesom Wike.
The reaction of Lere Olayinka was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, November 28, 2025.
This is coming after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to withdraw police officers from VIPs across the country.
In the report that surfaced online, the NPF stated that the implementation of the presidential directive has commenced but the process is being carried out in a professional manner.
The NPF clarified that the document claiming that police officers have been withdrawn from Nyesom Wike and other VIPs is fake.
However, Lere Olayinka has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said Omoyele Sowore used his media platform to publish fake news.
Here is what he wrote on his official X handle;
“Sowore used his Sahara Reporters to publish fake news”.
