Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Adviser on Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has reacted on his official X account following comments by former Edo State governor Chief John Odigie-Oyegun regarding the 2027 ADC presidential ticket.
Odigie-Oyegun recently announced former Rivers State governor and ex-Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi as his preferred candidate for the ADC presidential nomination. The declaration generated widespread discussion, particularly coming shortly after reports of an alleged assassination attempt on former Anambra State governor and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at his residence in Benin City.
In his response, Olayinka suggested that Peter Obi had effectively been sidelined in the emerging political alignment. He linked this development to Obi’s earlier claim that an attempt had been made on his life at the residence of the Edo elder statesman.
