Wike May Not Be Kicked Out But Those Days Of Access And Turning Eba For APC Men Are Over —Olarewaju

‎In a recent statement via his official X account, Demola Olarewaju, a senior media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has stated that the political relationship between Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Tinubu is gradually coming to an end.

‎”Wike’s days of romance with Tinubu are over. He may not be kicked out today or tomorrow but those days of access and turning eba for APC men are effectively over. And he will be dragged for filth when he is eventually kicked out,” he wrote.

‎In his post, Olarewaju was reacting to recent public criticism of Wike by leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎He said the development shows that Wike’s strong access to power within the ruling party is weakening.

‎According to him, the period when Wike freely enjoyed influence and special treatment from the APC leadership may no longer exist.

‎He explained that although Wike may not be removed from office immediately, the signs of isolation are becoming clear.

‎He said political alliances often change, especially when interests no longer align.

‎He added that Wike’s past closeness to the APC leadership may not protect him from internal party pressure.

‎Olarewaju pointed to comments by the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, who publicly criticised Wike over his involvement in Rivers State politics.

‎He said such open attacks suggest that patience within the ruling party is wearing thin.

‎He described the criticism as a signal that Wike is no longer being shielded by powerful allies.

‎He also noted that Wike’s political style has created many tensions over time.

‎According to him, these tensions are now catching up with the former Rivers State governor.

‎He said when political protection fades, past actions are often revisited and judged more harshly.
