In a recent video shared on Facebook on Monday, February 16, 2026, Niger Delta activist and Kalabari chieftain, Asari Dokubo, responded to remarks made by Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, a notorious commander associated with the Eastern Security Network, the militant wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
According to Dokubo, “Who are you? Are you better or more intelligent than I am?”, he challenged Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta over criticisms directed at him and questioned his authority to pass judgment.
Dokubo stated that public debate and activism require experience and understanding, not threats or personal attacks. According to him, leaders and commanders of militant groups cannot assume moral or intellectual superiority over voices like his, who have long been involved in Niger Delta advocacy.
He emphasized that disagreements should be addressed through dialogue and facts, rather than intimidation or attempts to provoke. According to Dokubo, social media and militant posturing often distort discourse and escalate tensions unnecessarily.
Dokubo also highlighted the importance of accountability and responsibility in leadership. According to him, issuing challenges or threats does not substitute for constructive engagement on national issues.
