Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike has taken to his official X handle to make a strong statement regarding the actions of certain members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he also advised the supporters to stop being emotional.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC recently gained momentum after the former governor of Kano State and erstwhile NNPP Chieftain, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso joined its ranks.
The former governor, it can be recalled, performed impressively during the highly contested presidential elections in 2027, coming behind president Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
However, his alignment with the ADC which also had Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in its ranks triggered massive reactions, including from Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, while advising supporters of the ADC to desist from being emotional, made a striking comment regarding the leadership of the party.
Lere Olayinka, widely admired for his outspokenness, pointed out that the ADC was purchased by the likes of Atiku Abubakar, David Mark, Rotimi Amaechi amongst several others, hence, they cannot be recognized.
He further argued that the decision of the former national chairman of the party, Ralph Nwosu to step aside does not render the national working committee useless….See More
