Ngozi Nwosu, a Nollywood actress, has stated that the Lagos State Government played a major role in saving her life during her battle with kidney problem
In an interview with fellow actress Ayo Adesanya on Ayo Adesanya TV, Nwosu said that a woman by the name Funke helped her get in touch with the then Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, who immediately stepped in to assist her. Nwosu said she was very grateful for the governor’s quick response and the care she received from the Lagos State government during that difficult time.
Nwosu stated that Fashola and Funke came to her rescue even before her fellow Igbos began to support her. She also appreciated former Senate President Pius Anyim for his support
In Nwosu’s words: “During the kidney issue, actually it was Lagos State that stood there for me. I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to Funke who facilitated my seeing the governor SAN Fashola, they were the ones who came to my rescue immediately before the Igbos even tried. Thank you to Pius Anyim Pius who was at the Senate then”
