Renowned Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned of a potential crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that could threaten the party’s unity ahead of the next general elections.
Speaking during a Facebook live session on Sunday, Ayodele cautioned that the party’s decision regarding its vice-presidential candidate could spark internal divisions if not handled carefully.
“Whether there is an agreement or not on the vice-presidential position, it will create a split — at least partially — in ADC. The party must be cautious,” he said.
The prophecy hinted at tensions between prominent political figures, suggesting that the conflict could involve former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi. Ayodele indicated that competing ambitions within the party might intensify disagreements over leadership positions.
Known for his accurate political predictions, the prophet urged ADC leaders to prioritize dialogue and cooperation to avoid weakening the party’s electoral prospects. “A party divided against itself cannot succeed during elections. Immediate reconciliation and mutual understanding are essential,” he added.
