Senator Mike Lee, a Republican who had earlier questioned the mission, shared the update on X after a phone conversation with Rubio. “He anticipates no further action in Venezuela now that Maduro is in US custody,” Lee wrote. Beyond that, Rubio reportedly indicated that Washington sees the situation as largely settled, with no immediate plans for additional strikes or interventions.
