Trump: Terrorists Are Feeling Nigeria; Cameroon And Chad Are Locking Their Borders -Nick Agule

Policy expert Nick Agule has revealed that bandits and terrorists have been fleeing Nigeria since Trump designated the country as a “Country of Particular Concern” and threatened to flush out terrorists with the US army.

Agule noted that the fact that bandits and terrorists are fleeing at a mere announcement from Trump should be a cause for concern among Nigerian security agencies, which have been unable to combat these terrorists for many years. According to Agule, the fact that some of these bandits were not even afraid of the Nigerian army—some even operating close to military barracks—but immediately packed their bags upon a threat from someone outside the country (Trump), speaks volumes about the state of security in Nigeria. He urged President Tinubu to ask the relevant questions and investigate why these terrorists are not even afraid of the country’s security forces.

Agule also revealed that many bandits have fled to the extent that neighboring countries like Chad and Cameroon have closed their borders.

He said:

“In the past few days, we have heard that bandits and terrorists are fleeing Nigeria, which has led to reports that Cameroon and Chad are locking their borders.”

He further explained that the fact these bandits are running away because of a verbal threat should make President Tinubu question his military leadership. According to Agule, instead of the government trying to present statistics to convince the international community that there is no Christian genocide, they should focus on ending the activities of terrorists in Nigeria.

In his words:

“We cannot say there have not been killings, and the response Nigeria needs to give is to stop the killings.”
