In a recent interview shared by TVC News, Federal Commissioner of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Honourable Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, emphasized the need for unity and collective responsibility in Nigeria’s fight against corruption and national development.
Agbonayinma, while reacting to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Independence Day speech, praised the president’s courage and commitment to tackling long-standing challenges that have hindered Nigeria’s progress. According to him, no single leader can succeed without the support of citizens and institutions working together.
“He was not the one that created the menace we are facing in this nation today; corruption has eaten us deeply,” Agbonayinma stated, stressing that successive governments had allowed corruption to thrive, but current reforms present an opportunity for renewal.
He pointed to the removal of fuel subsidy as one bold step by the president to save the economy, noting that trillions of naira previously lost to fraud can now be redirected to national development.
The Federal Commissioner urged state governors, legislators, local government leaders, and all Nigerians to play their part in building the country, rather than leaving the burden solely on the president.
He concluded by calling for prayers and support for national leadership, affirming that unity, integrity, and shared responsibility remain the pathway to Nigeria’s greatness. See, More, Here>>>>
