‎There Are Rumours Obi Is Planning To Join New Party He Should Perish That 2027 Not Like 2023—Dr. Anabi Samuel

‎‎According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, October 13, 2025, a political analyst, Dr. Anabi Samuel, has advised former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, to abandon any plan of forming or joining a new political party ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

‎Dr. Anabi said there are growing rumours that Obi is considering creating a new platform after facing challenges in both the Labour Party (LP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

‎He warned that such a move would be a political mistake that could end Obi’s ambition before the race begins.

‎According to the analyst, the political environment in 2027 will be far different from what it was in 2023.

‎He explained that the excitement and momentum that surrounded Obi’s 2023 campaign cannot be easily repeated, especially under a new or unknown political structure.

‎Dr. Anabi stressed that Nigerian politics is still dominated by parties with established networks, experienced leaders, and deep financial strength.

‎He said that any presidential hopeful without the backing of a strong, nationwide structure would struggle to compete with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

‎He advised Obi to focus on strengthening ties within a known party rather than starting afresh.

‎He stated that if Obi hopes to remain relevant in 2027, he must work with a well-rooted political organisation that can protect his votes and provide the resources needed to run a strong national campaign.

‎“There are rumours that he is planning to join a new political party. Obi should perish that thought quickly. 2027 is not like 2023, he needs a known party with good structure to win the 2027 election,” Anabi said.Continue, Full, Reading>>>>
