The Lord Revealed to Me That Most of the Elder Statesmen Tinubu Trusts Will Betray Him” — Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele has sparked fresh reactions online following a recent video shared on Facebook, where he made strong claims about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and the political challenges ahead of the 2027 elections.

In the video, the cleric warned that President Tinubu may face betrayal from within his own circle, particularly from elder statesmen he currently relies on for guidance. According to him, these trusted figures may end up giving advice that could negatively affect the administration.

“The Lord revealed to me that most of the elder statesmen that he wants to trust will betray him,” Ayodele said. “The efforts of the President will be frustrated with wrong pieces of advice.”

He further stressed that the President must be cautious about the kind of counsel he receives, suggesting that poor decisions influenced by internal actors could weaken his political standing over time.

Ayodele also spoke about the challenges facing Tinubu’s political base, particularly the “City Boy Movement,” which played a major role during the 2023 election campaign. He warned that the movement could encounter serious obstacles if efforts are not made to strengthen alliances across different regions of the country.

According to him, building stronger political relationships nationwide will be crucial if Tinubu hopes to remain competitive ahead of the next presidential race. Without such unity, he implied, the President could struggle to maintain the level of support needed for a second term.

On the issue of re-election, Ayodele made a bold claim regarding opposition from the northern region. He suggested that political dynamics in the North may not favour Tinubu’s ambition for a second term.
