Teargas Killed Okadigbo Who Was Buhari’s Running Mate,They Teargassed Him,After A Day He Died—Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the AAC, has spoken about the use of gas canisters against protesters.

In an interview with Channels Television, Sowore said the law is very clear that gas canisters of any kind should only be used when it is absolutely necessary to disperse people. He stated that Nigeria has had a past incident where a teargas canister led to the death of an opposition politician.

Sowore said Chuba Okadigbo, who was once the running mate of Muhammadu Buhari, was teargassed and died a day later due to complications linked to the teargas.

In Sowore’s words: “The law is very clear, unless it is absolutely very necessary should you use gas canisters of any kind to attack people. We have had experience where a teargas cannister killed an opposition politician in this country, Chuba Okadigbo who was Buhari’s running mate.
