The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has responded to comments made by former lawmaker and President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Mbata, labeling his statements as contradictory and illogical.
In an interview broadcast by TVC, Wike addressed Mbata’s criticism, where he referred to the FCT minister as a “gentleman” while simultaneously accusing him of being fond of political crises. Wike argued that such allegations lack logical coherence.
The former governor of Rivers State pointed out that this same critic previously referred to him as “semi-illiterate,” asserting that the conflicting descriptions highlight a lack of consistency and credibility in the criticisms he faces.
He remarked, “They said I’m a gentleman. That’s what he said—that I love crisis. Can a gentleman love crisis? Someone who called me semi-illiterate is now saying that a gentleman enjoys crisis. The person who has read extensively is making these contradictory statements.”
