Senate Places Gen. Musa On Probation Approval, Give Him Task To Return Feedback In 6 Months Or Be Sacked

Senator Wadada, representing Nasarawa West, urged General Musa to identify and apprehend the Brigadier General purportedly responsible for the withdrawal order. The senator imposed a six-month deadline for General Musa to resolve the matter, cautioning that failure to do so would prompt the Senate to recommend his removal from his prospective ministerial role to President Bola Tinubu. This ultimatum reflects increasing dissatisfaction among lawmakers concerning recurring security breaches.

In response, General Musa acknowledged the gravity of the incident and pledged to establish a dedicated committee to investigate the withdrawal upon assuming office. He emphasized broader systemic issues, such as inadequate road networks and challenging terrains that impede rapid military responses to threats. Musa also advocated for enhanced community resilience and collaboration with local leaders to improve intelligence gathering and prevent future abductions.
