School Attack: Who Ordered Soldiers To Withdraw? That Person Should Be Tired For Terrorism -Oshiomhole

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has strongly condemned the circumstances surrounding the recent attack on a school in Kebbi State. He stated that whoever gave the order for the military to withdraw shortly before the bandits struck should be tried for terrorism.

This reaction came after reports indicated that Nigerian troops were already mobilizing to rescue the students and prevent their abduction, but were allegedly instructed to retreat. The attack, which led to the kidnapping of several students, has sparked outrage and raised fresh questions about the nation’s security coordination.

According to a report by Channels TV on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Senator Oshiomhole voiced his anger during a parliamentary session dedicated to addressing the growing insecurity across the country. While contributing to the debate, he insisted that the mysterious order that halted the military’s response must be investigated thoroughly, and the individual responsible must face the full weight of the law.

Oshiomhole emphasized that actions that jeopardize the safety of schoolchildren and undermine the efforts of security agencies are equivalent to acts of terrorism. He further defended President Tinubu, stating that the President has been doing everything within his power to stabilize the country and improve security nationwide.

In his words:

“Who ordered the soldiers to withdraw? That person should be tried for terrorism. The Senate subsequently adopted this demand among its resolutions.”
