Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist and politician, has commented on the protest that took place at the National Assembly. He noted that former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, attended the protest alongside his son, and that other supporters of former president Muhammadu Buhari were also present.

He explained that while many activists dedicate themselves to protests daily as part of their calling, it was important for politicians to also experience firsthand the realities of such struggles.
Sowore emphasized that the involvement of politicians in the protest added a new dimension to the movement, showing that activism is not limited to career activists but can also be embraced by those in political leadership.
