Reactions Trail What Shehu Sani Said After Ex CDS Criticized Wike For Challenging Yerima -

Several reactions have trailed the statement that was made by former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani after former Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, General Lucky Irabor criticized FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The reaction of Senator Shehu Sani was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, November 14, 2025.

According to THE CABLE, while speaking about the incident between Nyesom Wike and Lieutenant Yerima, the former CDS said Wike shouldn’t have called him a fool.

Here is what the former CDS said;

“What you have told the Commander-In-Chief and the authority that invested that position on him is that they are fools. So it is wrong.

“The uniform is not about who is wearing it. The uniform represents the authority of the state”.

However, Senator Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said the matter should be allowed to rest.

Here is what Shehu Sani wrote on his official X handle;

“I read a flyer today about a press conference by the Nigerian retired military officers on the encounter between the FCT Minister and officer Yerima. I hope after this, the matter would be left to rest”.
