Social media users have taken to their official X account on Saturday, January 3, 2026 to react to the statement that was made by one of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani after MURIC claimed that it is in possession of an audio containing inciting comments against Muslims.
According to the post that Shehu Sani shared on his page, he said MURIC claimed that an Igbo man known as Maazi Kanayo has called for Igbo Muslims to be killed in the Southeast.
Reacting, Senator Shehu Sani urged security operatives to investigate the matter. The former Kaduna lawmaker stated that hate and violence should have no place in any society.
According to Senator Shehu Sani on his official X account;
“Only an investigation can determine whether the audio is real or fake. If it’s real, the so called Kanayo must be arrested and prosecuted and if it’s fake, MURIC should bear the consequences”.
