Reactions As El-Rufai Shares Report That France Used BAT On Benin Because He Needs Int’l Legitimacy

There have been several reactions from social media users after the former governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai shared a report claiming that France used President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Benin Republic.

The report was shared on the official X handle of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

This is coming after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered the Nigerian Army to dislodge Coup plotters in Benin Republic.

In the report that Nasir El-Rufai shared on his page, it was stated that the government of France used President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he desperately needs international legitimacy.

“France cannot afford to lose another colony after Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Central Africa Republic kicked them out. Nigeria is now France’s last military pipeline.

“And France knows Tinubu desperately needs international legitimacy so they used him”.
