Nigerian political commentator Adamu Garba II has offered a sweeping historical interpretation of the standoff between Iran and the West, arguing that shared “Aryan” origins among many European nations make a full-scale military assault on Tehran highly unlikely.
In a post on his verified Facebook account, Garba claimed that much of Western civilization traces its roots to what he described as the “Aryan (Iran) civilization,” naming groups such as the Vikings, Germans, Austrians, Gauls (French), Saxons (UK), and even Ireland, which he called “Aryan land.” He distinguished between “Persia” as a geographic designation and “Aryan” as a tribal identity.
Garba further asserted that Adolf Hitler’s motivations in World War II were tied to preserving what he termed the “Aryan (Iran) bloodline,” alleging that Nazi Germany opposed “non-Aryan countries” in pursuit of that objective.
He also contended that Jews have historically viewed Iran more favorably because, during periods of captivity, “it was the Iranians that saved them,” citing the Babylonian captivity under Nebuchadnezzar as an example.
Projecting these claims onto current geopolitics, Garba argued that expectations of a U.S.- and Israel-led invasion of Iran are misplaced. “If you are expecting full-scale invasion by the United States and Israel against Iran, lower your expectations,” he wrote, estimating the likelihood at “less than 5%.”
He suggested that even U.S. President Donald Trump, whom he said has German roots, would be unlikely to confront Iran because of what he characterized as shared “Aryan (Iranian) stock.”
Concluding his post, Garba urged observers to “calm down, pick your popcorn and watch the show,” asserting that recent confrontations have tested Iran’s capabilities and, in his view, demonstrated the “inviolability of their sovereignty.”
Garba’s comments, posted amid heightened tensions over Iran’s internal unrest and international pressure on Tehran, have drawn attention for blending historical interpretation with present-day forecasting.
