Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and former presidential aide has taken to her official X handle to react after the party unveiled the unity movement in Abuja. According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle, she pointed out that the movement was tasked with galvanizing support for the 2027 presidential candidate.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC was recently on the spotlight after the party launched a strong platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Lauretta Onochie, one of the Chieftains of the ADC and erstwhile presidential aide made the disclosure on her official X handle on Wednesday March 11th, 2026.
The ADC, it can be recalled, comprises of several political heavyweights, including the former governors of Anambra and Rivers States, Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi respectively.
Elderstatemen, Atiku Abubakar, Bolaji Abdullahi, Rauf Aregbesola, Nasiru El-Rufai are also other prominent members of the party, combination of individuals with different political ideologies.
The platform, tagged ‘One ADC Movement’, according to Lauretta Onochie was launched to close the gap amongst all members irrespective of age, socio-economic status and political interest.
The role of the movement, according to Lauretta Onochie who happened to be the coordinator, will be to galvanize support for the ADC flag-bearer in 2027.
While she declined to disclose the preferred candidate to represent the party, the former presidential aide pointed out that Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar or Rotimi Amaechi will all be given maximum support if any eventually emerged….See More
