Lere Olayinka, spokesperson to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, said that before former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Okey Nwosu, resigned on July 2, 2025, he should have held an ADC NEC meeting and informed INEC.
The statement was contained in a viral post that Lere Olayinka shared on his official X account on April 2, 2025.
In a post that surfaced online, Lere Olayinka questioned the resignation of the former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Okey Nwosu. He asked whether Nwosu had held an ADC NEC meeting and informed INEC of the meeting before resigning on July 2, 2025, where he was expected to tender his resignation letter.
Olayinka further asked whether the resignation of a party’s National Chairman and Secretary automatically ends the tenure of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
