The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga has criticized the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi.
His statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
This is coming after the former governor of Anambra state announced his defection from the Labour Party, LP to the African Democratic Congress, ADC at an event that was organized in Enugu state.
In the post that Bayo Onanuga shared on his page, he said Peter Obi could not handle a small state like Anambra yet he wants Nigerians to hand over Nigeria to him. He said the former governor of Anambra state is a politician who likes to jump from one party to another.
Bayo Onanuga stated that the former governor of Anambra state and his colleagues in the ADC will be defeated in forthcoming general elections in 2027.

“What concerned me most were his references to books, professors, and other nations to buttress his belief that he has learnt from the masters and that Nigeria should be entrusted to him because he claims to know the secrets of national development”.
