According to a report by The Times of Israel on March 3, 2026 (https://www.timesofisrael.com), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly defended the country’s ongoing military operations, presenting the conflict as both a moral struggle and a matter of national survival.
In his remarks, Netanyahu argued that Israel is confronting forces he described as dangerous and uncompromising. He warned that allowing hostile states to advance their ballistic missile and nuclear capabilities would pose a direct threat not only to Israel but also to the United States. Framing the issue as urgent, he questioned whether it would be wise to delay action in the face of such risks, suggesting that hesitation could carry severe consequences.
Netanyahu also drew a comparison to North Korea’s rise as a nuclear-armed state. He pointed to what he described as the international community’s failure to halt Pyongyang’s weapons development, warning that similar inaction elsewhere could lead to irreversible outcomes. In his view, waiting too long to confront declared adversaries could allow them to acquire capabilities that would be far more difficult to counter later.

In his words: “We’re fighting here the bad guys. We’re the good guys. These people massacre their own people. Imagine what they would do. These people would chant up to America if they had ballistic missiles and the nuclear warheads to deliver to every American city. Do you want to wait? Do you want to bet your future on whether they would do it or they would not do it.”
He added: “Look, nobody stopped North Korea, so they now have ballistic missiles and nuclear warheads… Iran is committed to your destruction.”
