In a recent video on CBN, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stern warning to Western governments, urging decisive action against extremist violence and anti-Semitism, which he described as a growing threat not only to Israel but to the wider international community.
Speaking on Israel’s security concerns, Netanyahu said extremist ideology spreads rapidly when left unchecked and ultimately endangers all societies.
“Israel expects of each of your governments in the West and elsewhere,” Netanyahu said, “because the disease spreads and it will consume you as well.”
He stressed that Israel’s immediate priority remains the safety of its people, adding that the country would not remain passive in the face of threats.
“We are worrying right now about our people, our safety, and we do not remain silent,” he said. “We fight those who try to annihilate us.”
Netanyahu argued that attacks against Israel are part of a broader assault on Western values and interests, noting that Israel and its allies face a common enemy.
“They’re not only trying to annihilate us,” he said. “They attack us because they attack the West.”
Citing recent violence in Syria, Netanyahu referred to reports of American casualties as evidence of the shared danger.
“We saw yesterday two American soldiers killed and one American interpreter killed as well,” he said. “Killed because they represent our common culture.”
The Israeli leader pointed to strong rhetoric from the United States in response to the attacks, quoting remarks attributed to U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hexit as a signal of resolve.
“He said, ‘Let it be known that if you target Americans anywhere in the world, you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you,’” Netanyahu stated.
According to Netanyahu, such firmness is necessary to deter extremist groups and prevent further violence. He called on Western governments to act with unity and strength, warning that hesitation only emboldens attackers.
Netanyahu concluded that Israel’s struggle is inseparable from the global fight against extremism, insisting that defending shared values requires courage, cooperation and decisive action from all affected nations.
