Nigerian entrepreneur and former beauty queen Dabota Lawson has opened up about her past marriage, revealing how quickly the relationship moved and why it eventually ended.
She shared the experience during an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the popular talk show With Chude.
Speaking during the conversation, Lawson explained that her former husband proposed to her just two weeks after they met. According to her, the relationship developed very quickly, and they decided to get married soon after the proposal.
However, she said the marriage did not last long and ended in less than one year. She reflected that if they had spent more time getting to know each other before marriage, she might have realised earlier that the relationship was not right for her.
Despite the short duration of the marriage, she disclosed that she and her ex-husband have maintained a cordial relationship. She explained that they still communicate regularly and remain supportive of each other.
She also noted that he has remained actively involved in the life of their daughter and he has always supported and cared for her since then.
