Mbata:I Went To Law School and finished, The Same Man Who criticised me Could Not Even Finish Law—Wike

Rivers State political leader and former governor, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed criticisms against his educational background and leadership record, insisting that results, not noise, define credibility in politics.

In a recent video on SYMFONI TV, Wike addressed comments allegedly made by a former senator who described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory as “semi-literate.” Wike countered the claim by pointing to his academic journey and professional accomplishments.

“I went to law school, came back, and today I am standing as a living example of achievement,” Wike said, drawing applause from the crowd.

He went further to contrast his record with that of his critic, stating, “The same man who criticised could not even finish law when he was supposed to.”

Wike explained that he deliberately avoids distractions from political attacks, noting that criticism often comes when opponents are unable to match performance. According to him, governance should be measured by visible records, not personal insults or propaganda.

Reflecting on his years in public office, Wike reminded supporters that his achievements are verifiable, from his time as council chairman to his tenure as minister and governor. He emphasised that unity among leaders and supporters remains the foundation of political strength and electoral success.

He also warned against internal division, stressing that discipline and agreement are essential for progress. “Agreement is agreement,” Wike said, urging party members to respect collective decisions.

On the influence of money in politics, Wike cautioned against overreliance on financial power, adding, “Money cannot solve the problem.”

He further reinforced the need for a clear leadership structure, stating, “There cannot be two markets in one day.”

Wike concluded by thanking supporters for their loyalty during turbulent periods, assuring them that his political decisions are driven by experience, consistency, and a commitment to results rather than empty rhetoric.
