Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly established its dominance in the state, leaving no room for opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections, according to report by NIGERIAN TRIBUNE on Sunday October 19 2025.
Speaking during a mega rally held at Murtala Square in Kaduna over the weekend, Governor Sani expressed confidence in the APC’s growing popularity and electoral strength.
He revealed that while he had earlier assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of securing 80 percent of the votes in Kaduna, recent developments have prompted him to revise that projection upward to 95 percent.
“Today in Kaduna, we don’t have any opposition. I promised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu some months ago that we were looking at 80 per cent of the votes. But today, I have shifted my ground; about 95 percent of the total votes in Kaduna State will go to APC in 2027,’’ he said.
The Governor highlighted the party’s recent gains in the National Assembly, noting that while the APC had only four members in the House of Representatives from Kaduna in 2023, the number has now risen to 14, signaling a significant shift in political alignment within the state.
The rally drew a massive crowd of party faithful and was graced by several high-profile dignitaries, including the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas; Minister of Environment, Alhaji Balarabe Abbas Lawal; and the Chairman of the North West Development Commission, Alhaji Lawal Samaila Yakawada. See, More, Here>>>>
