It Was For My Leader To Arrange The Meeting But Up Till This Hour Meeting Hasn’t Been Fixed- Fubara

The governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara has stated that it is not his fault that he has not been able to hold a meeting with members of the Rivers state House of Assembly.

This statement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of THE CABLE on December 10, 2025.

In the report that surfaced online, Siminalayi Fubara said the arrangement was that Nyesom Wike will be the one to fix a meeting between him and the Rivers state House of Assembly members. He said the FCT Minister has not fixed the meeting.

This is coming after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reinstated the Rivers state governor and members of the Rivers state House of Assembly following their six months suspension from office.

Here is what Siminalayi Fubara said according to THE CABLE;

“I have made every effort to meet with them, but the arrangement wasn’t for me to call them directly.

“It was for my leader, the Minister to arrange the meeting. Up till this hour, that meeting has not been fixed”.
