Iran’s top military bodies have jointly declared an unprecedented state of readiness, vowing that any new hostile action would be met with a retaliatory strike far more devastating than any previous response, referring to recent Iranian missile strikes on Israel in response to Israel’s unprecedented strikes on Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, which reportedly killed senior military figures and nuclear scientists.
According to a report by the Iran News Agency on Monday, 29 December, 2025, The General Staff of the Armed Forces, in a formal statement to mark the anniversary of the “Dey 9 Epic,” a day commemorating mass pro-government rallies in 2009, framed current military preparedness as a direct extension of national unity against foreign plots, leveraging such history to send a direct threat to modern foes, asserting that ongoing pressure campaigns, including economic sanctions and psychological warfare have failed to weaken the nation, further stating “Any future miscalculation by enemies would result in far more forceful, crushing, and costly retaliation.”
Similarly the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army released a parallel declaration, underscoring its unwavering commitment to defending national sovereignty, portraying the current geopolitical struggle as one where adversaries, having failed in direct confrontation, have now pivoted to insidious psychological and cognitive warfare aimed at sowing internal division and despair.
They also positioned national unity under the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the ultimate shield against these tactics.
