Iran: Our attacks may not remain limited to the Middle East. We can target America itself —Moghaddam

An Iranian lawmaker declared that Iran possesses the capability to strike the United States directly if a war erupts, explicitly warning that even the residence of former President Donald Trump could become a target.

According to a report by Iran International on February 20, 2026, Amir Hayat Moghaddam, who serves on the parliament’s national security and foreign policy commission, emphasized that Tehran has no intention of initiating conflict but stands ready to deliver a decisive retaliation against any aggression.

He stated firmly that if the Americans launch an attack, Iran will respond immediately with overwhelming force.

According to him, Iranian forces can sink a United States warship operating in the Sea of Oman, launch precise strikes on American military bases across the region, and inflict serious damage on U.S. personnel at every level, from ordinary soldiers to high-ranking officers and generals.

The lawmaker went further by asserting that in the event of full-scale war, Iran’s military operations will not stay confined to the Middle East.

He insisted that Iran holds the technical capacity and strategic reach to conduct attacks on American soil itself.

In a particularly bold claim, he suggested that one day people might witness a direct hit on Trump’s own palace, speaking on the potential escalation beyond regional boundaries.

In his words, “In case of war, our attacks may not remain limited to the Middle East. We can target America itself. You might one day see Trump’s own palace hit.”
