The governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara has revealed how President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told them to support the candidates of the former governor of Rivers state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike in the just concluded primary elections in Rivers state.
This statement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of ARISE NEWS on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
He made the statement while reacting to several claims that he supported ADC candidates in the primary elections.
This is coming after two Wike’s loyalists, Napoleo Ukalikpe and Mrs Bulabari Henrietta Loolo won the APC tickets for the Ahoda East ll Constituency and Khana Constituency 2.
In the report that surfaced online, the Rivers state governor stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told them to support Wike’s candidates so that peace can reign in Rivers state.
He said in Rivers state, members of the All Progressive Congress are one big family. He said they united.

“In the build up to the primaries, the President intervened and asked everyone to support the candidates of the former governor and Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike for peace to reign”.
