I’m very wicked, I’m useless, I’m this because I did not support my younger brother—Ayo Fayose

Former governor Peter Ayodele Fasoye has opened up about the recent problems within his family, especially the accusations he says were directed at him simply because he did not support his younger brother during an election.

Speaking during an interview, Fasoye explained that he took his own decision during the political contest and was shocked by the reaction that followed.

In his words, “My younger brother was content. He said I did not support him. I’m very wicked. I’m useless. I’m this because I did not support my younger brother.”

He said he had every right to support whoever he believed was the better candidate and added that leadership sometimes requires difficult choices.

According to him, choosing a different candidate should not suddenly turn him into an enemy within his own family.

Fasoye also spoke deeply about how family issues should not be brought to social media.

He warned that whatever is posted online will remain there for many years and could hurt the next generation.

He said many families face disagreements but handle them privately.

He stressed that he still loves his siblings and will never wish them bad, no matter the challenges.

He also mentioned that he has always taken care of their mother, even travelling with her for medical checkups in different countries.

For him, showing love and respect to his mother remains a priority.

The former governor added that silence is sometimes the best response when family problems become public. He said he prefers peace and does not want to exchange words on the internet.

Fasoye explained that he blocks anyone who brings unnecessary stress into his life because he wants to live long and remain focused.

Even though he expressed pain over the attacks from his family members, he maintained that it is a phase that will pass.

He believes that everyone should be busy with their own families instead of dragging issues online.
