Igbo Leaders Mustn’t Support Tinubu And Keep Quiet, We Must Tell Our People What He Has Done -Umahi

Minister of Works Dave Umahi said Igbo leaders should not quietly back President Bola Tinubu but must tell their communities about the president’s work, as reported by THISDAYLIVE on Friday April 3 2026.

Umahi made the remarks while inspecting the road construction site at the Enugu end. He praised the president’s handling of the economy, saying the administration is tackling major economic problems and that the worst phase is now behind the country.

He urged leaders to be open about Tinubu’s record, to avoid attacking those who disagree, and to take a careful, strategic approach to politics. He said good governance should deliver development, roads, fairness, and equal treatment, and that these are visible in the current administration.
