According to a report by Russian News outlets TASS, on Tuesday October 28, 2025, US President Donald Trump declared that America will secure overwhelming victories in any future military conflicts, delivering blunt remarks that he acknowledged departed from conventional diplomatic language during an address to servicemembers at a Japanese naval base.
Speaking aboard the USS George Washington, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier stationed in Japan’s Okinawa Prefecture, Trump outlined his vision for American military engagement with characteristically direct language.
“From now on, if we are in a war, we are going to win the war. We are going to win it like nobody ever before. You know, we’d go in, we’d blast the hell out of countries. By the way, if you don’t go in, that’s even better. But, you know, we’d go in, we’d win,” the president told assembled troops at Yokosuka naval base.
The statement emphasized a preference for avoiding military involvement altogether, while simultaneously promising decisive action if conflict becomes unavoidable.
Trump recognized his remarks strayed from traditional diplomatic rhetoric, acknowledging they represented “not the politically correct way” to express his position.
However, he insisted that when national defense is at stake, American officials will no longer prioritize political correctness in their communications or strategies.
The address came during Trump’s official visit to Japan, which runs from October 27 to 29. The trip marks his first journey to the country during his second presidential term and his fourth visit overall to America’s key Pacific ally.
On Monday, Trump participated in ceremonial meetings with Emperor Naruhito, following established protocol for visiting heads of state.
Tuesday’s schedule included substantive policy discussions with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who made history on October 21 by becoming Japan’s first female prime minister.
The bilateral talks concluded with Trump and Takaichi signing a formal agreement proclaiming a “new golden age” of the US-Japan alliance, reinforcing security and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The agreement signals continued American commitment to its strategic partnership in the Indo-Pacific region amid evolving geopolitical dynamics.
