An Iranian academic has issued a stern warning to Gulf governments amid rising regional tensions, declaring that any hostile move against Tehran would trigger immediate consequences.
Sayed Mohammed Marandi, a professor at the University of Tehran, made the remarks on his verified Twitter account following recent warnings directed at Iran by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
In his statement, Marandi cautioned that if either Riyadh or Abu Dhabi “make the slightest move against Iran, they will immediately regret it,” signaling a hardline stance in response to what Tehran views as escalating regional pressure.
