A video that was posted on the official X account of ARISE NEWS on Friday, November 28, 2025 has captured the moment former Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti was telling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to encourage people to build schools in rural areas.
He made the statement after he was asked to speak about President Tinubu’s declaration of national security emergency in Nigeria.
In the viral video that was shared online, he said it’s wrong for the President to ask people not to build in rural areas. Yusuf Datti said if he has money, he will build schools in rural areas.
According to Yusuf Datti;
“There is a call to stop building schools in the rural areas, that’s deadly, that’s wrong. I wish uncle Tinubu can hear this and withdraw the statement and correct himself. He should encourage people to build. If I have money, I will build in the rural areas”.
