FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has revealed that he monitors multiple television news broadcasts daily to keep track of his political opponents and stay ahead of any threats directed at him.
Wike said during a media coverage by Channels TV, “I watch the news all the time. I watch the 8 o’clock news on Channels, I watch the 7 o’clock news on TVC, so that I can know where my enemies are coming from. I don’t want people to tell me what they said. I want to hear it for myself,” Wike said.
He added that he even catches up on anything he missed at midnight, saying the habit helps him stay prepared for any situation that may arise.
Wike also addressed a recent controversy surrounding remarks he made about Channels TV journalist Seun Okinbaloye, insisting his words were taken out of context.
