I Saw Bandits With AK-47 On Motorbikes, Well Dressed, Going To Jolificate At A Wedding -Dele Momodu

Member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, Chief Dele Momodu, has expressed disappointment over the growing boldness of criminal elements in the country, lamenting that they are rarely neutralized under the current administration.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, he said he had watched a trending video online where bandits were seen riding motorbikes, carrying sophisticated weapons, and reportedly heading to a wedding ceremony. According to him, this was one of the most embarrassing things he had ever seen in Nigeria, which should be a cause for serious concern.

He said: “Did we not see some people in a video recently with their guns on motorbikes going to attend a wedding somewhere, I don’t know maybe it was in Kastina or wherever. I have never seen such an embarrassment in my life, bandits with AK-47 on motorbikes, well dressed and going to jolificate at a wedding. They came in, went back to where they came from and nothing happened.”

Furthermore, he stated that the recent sanction imposed by the United States government on some Nigeria governors will make them more humble and less arrogant than they used to be.

His words: “Starting with the sanctions, maybe for once, our political leaders will get sober and less giddy. All the ‘gra gra’, they are too arrogant. They speak with the authority of God, they speak down on their people. They vest all kinds of nonsense on their people as if they are God. Maybe for once, they will begin to see reason.”
