Nigerian screen veteran Shaffy Bello has candidly shared insights into her past dating experiences, revealing that she once dated younger men purely for enjoyment.
In a recent interview, the actress, who is now in her 50s, said she felt flattered when younger men reached out to her online.
“At that time, I was focused on enjoying the moment and exploring life’s lighter side—not on commitment or long-term expectations,” she said.
Shaffy noted that her outlook on relationships has changed with time.
“It happens. When you’re over 50 and young men say, ‘what’s up?’, it’s flattering. But some of them are badly behaved. I’ve done it before—when I did it, I was having fun. It was for a season, and that season is over,” she stated.
She now says she’s open to the idea of marriage again, but with a renewed and more thoughtful perspective.
