I Can Swear By Allah That If America Comes, We Will Fight To Become Martyrs Of The Nation -Prof Abba

A professor of international relations has declared that Nigerian citizens will resist any American military intervention on Nigerian soil.

Professor Sadeeque Abba made the huge statement during an interview with Daily Trust. “I can swear by Allah that if America comes, we will fight to become martyrs of the Nation. Historically, this is not the first time they are giving us a direct threat. The only thing is that the first two direct threats they made—the leaders on the ground—remember Murtala Muhammed, who published ‘Go to hell, America. Shut up’—it was a direct threat to Murtala Muhammed and Nigeria. Murtala called their bluff. Abacha called their bluff,” he stated.

The professor suggested that ordinary Nigerians possess greater resolve to resist foreign intervention than their political leadership might demonstrate. “If the government is not prepared, I can assure you that Nigerian citizens are prepared,” Abba declared.

Professor Abba drew a sharp distinction between institutional Nigeria and the civilian population regarding readiness to confront American forces. He emphasized that regardless of the positions taken by the Nigerian government, Senate, ministers, or governors, ordinary citizens across the country—from urban centers to remote villages—are prepared to resist any US military incursion.
