Huckabee Warns Iran ‘Didn’t Get Full Message’ After US Strike as Fordo Rebuild Reported

According to report by The Times Of Israel on December 22, 2025, the United States’ ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, has warned that Iran may not have fully absorbed Washington’s warning following the US B-2 bomber strike on the Fordo nuclear facility, amid reports that Tehran is attempting to rebuild the site damaged during the Israel-Iran war in June.

Speaking at an Institute for National Security Studies conference, Huckabee said the attack marked a turning point in how seriously Iran viewed US resolve under President Donald Trump. “I don’t know that [Iran] ever took [Trump] seriously until the night that the B-2 bombers went to Fordo,” Huckabee said in an interview on the sidelines of the event.

The comments come as Western and Israeli officials assess intelligence indicating that Iran is working to reconstitute parts of the heavily fortified underground facility.

Asked directly about those reports, Huckabee expressed concern that Tehran may be seeking to strengthen its nuclear infrastructure rather than abandon it.

“I hope they got the message, but apparently they didn’t get the full message because, as you mentioned, they appear to be trying to reconstitute and find a new way to dig the hole deeper and secure it more,” he said.

Huckabee also addressed questions about the possibility of renewed military action should Iran continue advancing its nuclear program.

When asked whether Washington would approve another Israeli strike if Israel deemed it necessary, the ambassador stopped short of giving a direct commitment but pointed to Trump’s longstanding position.

“All I can do is point to you what [Trump] has said repeatedly, and he consistently has said Iran is never going to enrich uranium, and they’re not going to have a nuclear weapon,” Huckabee stated.

The ambassador broadened the warning beyond the Middle East, arguing that Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile ambitions pose a wider international danger.

According to Huckabee, renewed progress in those areas threatens not only Israel and the United States but also Europe.

He criticized what he described as insufficient urgency among European leaders, while acknowledging recent steps to reimpose snapback sanctions on Iran.

Huckabee encouraged further international pressure, suggesting tougher economic and diplomatic measures could still play a role in curbing Tehran’s ambitions.
