How A Man Reacted After He Came For Naming Ceremony And Discover There Was No Alligator Pepper-Olukoya

In a recent video on YouTube, Pastor D. K. Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has highlighted how family traditions and ceremonies can create unseen spiritual ties that affect individuals throughout their lives.

Speaking during a recent service, Olukoya emphasized the subtle ways family rules and cultural practices can tie a person spiritually. “Perhaps you come from a family like that. You don’t do this. You don’t do that. You don’t eat this. You don’t eat that. Those are the ties we’re talking about,” he said.

He recounted a personal experience at a naming ceremony he attended years ago, where the officiating man refused to conduct the ritual due to missing items. “A naming ceremony has been announced, and people gather there very early in the morning. I thought I was attending a Christian name ceremony many, many years ago.”

“The man that was asked to come and name the baby got there, he didn’t sit down, he looked at our faces, looked at the baby. The mother said, ‘Where is the sugar?’ ‘We don’t have it. Why is the salt not available? Why is honey not here? Why is cola not available? Okay, where is alligator pepper?’ It was not available. He said then he cannot conduct this ceremony and he walked out. I took over and finished in about five minutes,” Olukoya explained.

He warned that such events can create lifelong spiritual consequences. “If that had been given to the baby, they tied the baby since the eighth day. Perhaps you are here now. You don’t even know what they did that day when they said they were naming you. You don’t even know the quality of those who gathered to name you. The bondage may still be binding by now if you are not broken from those kinds of bondages,” he added.
